1 Early pages
The being on the left is taken to be a robot taking us through pages. Let's call him Poirot.
- On p 5, Poirot says the concern is "... virtual agents or software agents that exist as models occupying a virtual environment held inside a computer."
- However ...
- ..... many advancements in AI robotics aim for autonomous robots that can operate independently of human operators, making decisions and executing tasks without constant human intervention. source
- Page 6 reveals that Marvin Minsky, a founding father of AI says that "AI has one foot in science and one in engineering". more
- "Strong AI - the goal is to build a machine capable of thought, consciousness and emotions." more
- Weak AI - "The aim is develop theories of human and animal intelligence and then test ... by building working models usually in the form of computer models or robots." A possible source
- At foot of page: Weak AI - a tool for understanding the mind. Strong AI, the model is a mind. more
End of Minsky quotes. Supplemented as you see.

... is of little consequence. p 9
Just as well, looking at the top text. "...beyond those found in humans.." Man's greatest AI fear???

Not included in the book. We now move on to
3 Artificial neural networks.
- Artificial neural networks (ANNs), inspired by the human brain, are computational models that learn by processing data and adjusting their internal parameters to make predictions or decisions.
- They consist of interconnected nodes (neurons) organized in layers, and different types of ANNs include feedforward, recurrent, and convolutional networks, each suited for specific tasks.
- See it a screen down on the page here.
4 Read the whole 'Artificial Intelligence - A Graphic Guide' book.
As you saw earlier, the book is cheap enough.
Otherwise, read it here but it's less convenient.
